In July of 2022, I was hired to create the cover art for the release of Jeb Carty’s single, Tension. My goal was to capture the emotion of tension, evoke a sense of luxury, and add a personal touch. I used specific color choices, typefaces, and imagery to bring that vision to life. The handwritten signatures added a layer of personalization, while the hand-drawn heart helped soften the harshness of the gun depicted on the wall. The high contrast between the deep red and light blue was intentional because it visually represented the tension between the two artists competing for the spotlight.
