25 Years Later: Reimagining Cult Classics from 2000

Lionsgate - Conceptual Campaign - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects - 2025

This campaign celebrates the 25th anniversaries of three psychologically intense cult films released in 2000 under the Lionsgate umbrella: Requiem for a Dream, American Psycho, and Memento. Each poster reimagines the visual identity of its film while following a consistent branding system. The goal is to merge cinematic nostalgia with a contemporary design language, creating collectible posters that speak to both longtime fans and new audiences.

Requiem For a Dream

This poster series captures obsession and collapse through repetition and restraint. The peach pills suggest dependency and routine, while the iris close-up recalls the film’s fixation on perception. Clinical tones and tight framing reflect the tension between control and unraveling.

American Psycho

The posters use contrast and minimalism to reflect the film’s sharp duality. Stark lighting and a grayscale palette mask the violence beneath the surface. A bloodstained business card hints at identity and image, while the restraint in layout mirrors Bateman’s calculated facade.

Memento

This series uses fragmentation and visual layering to mirror the film’s disjointed narrative. Polaroids act as unreliable memory anchors, while blurred imagery and a red-toned palette evoke confusion and urgency. The layout reflects the character’s fractured sense of time and identity.
